The MusicBank is a series of hacks and tools for managing digital music collections.
Most of this is based on the work of the
MusicBrainz and
etree.org
Since these tools are written in
Python and
Java
they should run on any platform that supports Java 11 and Python 3.
To do the development of these tools and data sets I've used
Debian.
I have a very large collection of CDs, almost 1,500 as of this afternoon. I
also have a very large collection of live recorings, mostly the Grateful
Dead and Phish. The problem is where to keep them? Where to keep 1,500
CDs. They do take up space and my wife and I also have lots of books but
not much bookcase space. Storing them on a hard disk on my computer was a
no brainer but how to store them. This website is about how I addressed
this problem.
